Consultant Clinical Psychologist Associate

Sharon has worked for over two decades in NHS and independent specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (e.g. youth offending, post adoption and fostering services, in-patient and community CAMHS). She has provided therapeutic support to young people, their parents, and adults with a range of emotional and psychological challenges including time to understand and explore the impact of a diagnoses (autism / ADHD) or condition.

She specialises in child and adolescent psychology, attachment and interpersonal difficulties, trauma, therapeutic re-parenting / parent support, and working with adults with emotional/interpersonal difficulties. She can help with a broad range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, self-harm, complex PTSD and developmental trauma, interpersonal difficulties, and identity.

Sharon utilizes several therapeutic approaches including Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy (DDP), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic and Narrative therapy approaches. She is a certified DPP practitioner, an EMDR Therapist, and a registered psychologist with the HCPC.
