Natalie Pickering

Forensic Psychologist Associate

Natalie Pickering is a HCPC-registered Forensic Psychologist with extensive professional and lived experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She has worked within secure settings with both men and women, offering compassionate, person-centred care that is thoughtfully adapted to meet each individual’s cognitive, emotional, and learning needs.

Natalie is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive therapeutic spaces where clients feel understood, respected, and valued. Alongside her clinical expertise, her personal experience as a parent navigating the neurodiversity pathway has strengthened her insight, empathy, and practical understanding of the daily challenges and strengths associated with neurodivergence. She takes a neuroaffirmative approach, recognising and celebrating differences while supporting clients to better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and develop effective coping strategies.

Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice, integrating approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), attachment-informed practice, and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Natalie has a particular interest in ADHD, personality, attachment, and trauma, and is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome adversity, manage mental health difficulties, and heal from past experiences.

Natalie offers online therapy sessions during evenings and weekends (Saturday and Sunday), providing accessible, flexible support tailored to each person’s unique needs.
