CBT Therapist Associate
Georgia is a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with eight years’ experience working across NHS Mental Health Services, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), the Mental Health Support Team (MHST), and Adult Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). She has worked with children, young people, and adults presenting with a wide range of difficulties, including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and health anxiety. She has extensive experience supporting parents whose children are experiencing separation anxiety and school-based anxiety and has additional experience working with families supporting children with tics.
During her time working in the MHST (an early-intervention service supporting children and young people in schools with mild to moderate mental health difficulties) she developed strong experience delivering therapeutic support within educational settings and working collaboratively with school staff to enhance wellbeing across school communities.
She has significant knowledge and experience of working therapeutically with neurodiverse individuals, including those with Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, and has contributed to neurodiversity assessments. Her practice is neuro-affirmative and person-centred, placing individual needs at the forefront of therapy. She regularly adapts evidence-based CBT approaches to make them accessible, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s way of experiencing the world.
Growing up in the Middle East and later moving to England has given her a deep appreciation of cultural diversity and the many ways people understand and experience their mental health. This perspective underpins her commitment to offering therapy that is culturally sensitive, compassionate, and respectful.
Her approach is focused on building a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to make sense of their difficulties and work towards meaningful change. She provides structured, evidence-based interventions while adapting them to each person’s needs and helping them to build practical tools, insight, and confidence to manage their wellbeing.
