Person centred Counselor Associate
Clare is a compassionate BACP-registered person-centred counsellor with a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges. She provides a safe, warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your pace, enabling you to feel heard and validated throughout your journey.
Her approach is deeply rooted in empathy, respect, understanding, and a commitment to neurodiversity-affirming therapy. She has worked with clients navigating the emotional impact of receiving a diagnosis of ADHD and Autism, as well as clients who are currently awaiting an assessment or self-diagnosed. She believes that being truly seen and heard for just who you are is key. Therapy with me can help you reconnect with yourself and offer that important breathing space.
She has worked in Primary Care Mental Health, NHS Talking Therapies, and mental health charities. Clare has worked closely with both young people and adults. Within these roles, she has often utilised skills from other therapies such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help clients manage distress, regulate emotions, and build resilience and self-growth.
Alongside her private practice, Clare also works with students offering wellbeing and mental health support for the counselling services within a charity. Her areas of interest and experience include ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, emotional difficulties, and relationship issues. She also holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Science with a Clinical Psychology stream. Clare is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
