There are many psychotherapists out there, offering psychological services. The only way to sure of a high standard of ethical and professional work is to check that the psychotherapist is accredited and registered with a recognised professional body.

I am a fully qualified Chartered Psychologist. This requires a degree in psychology and a further three year full-time postgraduate training. I belong to the division of Counselling Psychology within the British Psychological Society and the training as a Counselling Psychologist has an emphasis on developing experience and skills in one to one and group therapy. This training involves a minimum of 450 hours of supervised clinical work, and masters level research in areas that will benefit clients. I am also a registered practitioner with The Health Professions Council (HPC) and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have personal indemnity insurance and receive regular supervision.
