Terms & Conditions

This document outlines the general terms and conditions of the contract between the client and the therapist regarding the provision of therapy services.

By using our online and face to face therapy services, clients agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

Throughout this document, “Autism Spectrum Psychotherapy” refers to the service created by Dr Kassy Drosou, a chartered counselling psychologist based in London, UK, providing  counselling services specifically for neurodiverse individuals.

Therapists and Governing Law

Our Therapists  are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Registration details may be viewed at http://www.hcpc-uk.org.uk/ . We work within the laws and regulation of the UK. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court of London, UK. Our therapists offer online , telephone and Face to Face sessions  .

The matching process begins when a client submits their initial request through the ‘contact’ us button. Based on the information provided, Dr Kassy Drosou carefully reviews and selects the best-suited therapist for the client.

Neither Dr Kassy Drosou  nor its associates can accept cases involving emergencies, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or harm to others. In such cases, please seek immediate support from emergency services.

The assigned therapist  will provide the terms and conditions and informed consent document before beginning sessions. If the client cannot return the signed consent, these terms and conditions will act as a substitute.

Fees

The rate of an individual session will be based on the current fee structure in place, at the time of the  therapy agreement. The assessment session and all consecutive sessions are prepaid.

Sessions are non-refundable. Autism Spectrum Psychotherapy review  fees on an annual basis. We will give you one calendar month’s notice for any proposed increase. Your fees may be covered by your medical insurance plan. However we reserve the right to invoice you if there is an excess in your membership and if your medical insurer tells us you are accountable for paying of the treatment.

Service Delivery and additional services

Sessions are a minimum of 50 minutes. The therapist may extend the session duration at their discretion without additional charges.

Any additional services, such as assessments or reports, must be agreed upon in advance between the client and the therapist. Reports or personalised assessments start from £150 per hour.

Weekly sessions are recommended to maintain progress. Any alternative schedule must be mutually agreed upon.

We require a months notice if a client would like to pause or end sessions. Our therapists  may recommend ending the therapy if they believe it is no longer beneficial, which will be discussed with the client beforehand.

Scheduling, Delays, and Cancellations

Session times are agreed upon by both parties. If a client arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.

In the case of lateness or no show, either online or Face to Face sessions , therapists  will wait for the first 15 minutes, after which they reserve the right to cancel the appointment. In case of late payment, you will be charged a fee of 10% increase for each day of delay plus an admin fee (calculated by the number of hours spent chasing the payment, according to our hourly rate).

If a decision is made to work with Dr Kassy Drosou or any of her associates they will collaborate with you  to find mutually convenient time slots to meet weekly. Dr Kassy Drosou and her associates then reserve this time especially for you. In consequence, missed cancelled and no shows appointments, (even with notice), are charged at full rate. Your therapist reserves a special time exclusively for you every week until you end therapy, so they may not be able to change your appointment or refund non-attended sessions.

In the unlikely event that you need to cancel or change the appointment we  kindly request that you provide as much as notice as possible so that we might  accommodate your needs and reschedule where possible .

Payments and Invoicing

Payment methods are agreed upon directly between the therapist and client during the initial consultation.Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, or other agreed methods.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your right to confidentiality is strictly observed in all circumstances except where our therapists determine  that there is a significant risk of harm to yourself or others. In this case we reserve the right to inform outside agencies as appropriate, but if possible we will discuss this with you first.

Supervision

In line with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and British Psychological Society (BPS) guidelines all our therapists receive regular supervision, in order to maintain the quality of their work. Individual issues are discussed but confidentiality is maintained i.e. clients are not identified and personal information is kept to the minimum necessary for clinical understanding. The supervisor will also treat any information about clients as confidential.

Contact Outside of Sessions

Communication between the client and the therapist outside of scheduled sessions is limited to administrative matters, such as booking, rescheduling, or cancellations.

For therapy matters, support is only provided during sessions. In emergencies, clients should contact local crisis services.
